CATALA Y ROHNER S.A. was founded in 1974, created as an association between the companies JACOB
ROHNER S.A. (Switzerland) and ATILANO CATALA S.L. (Spain).
During the first years, the company focused its activity on the manufacturing of home textiles (bedcovers, sheets, curtains, etc.).
Later, along with the correspondent increase in production capability, CYRSA started diversifying its products.

Nowadays, equipped with up-to-date machinery and designing equipment, it is present in many textile fields e.g. HOME TEXTILES, LENGERIE AND CORSETRY, BRIDAL AND FIRST COMMUNION, CHILDREN’S CLOTHES, SHOE MANUFACTURING AND WOMEN’S CLOTHES.

Designs come either from CYRSA’s own design department or from some of the best independent European designers.
They are processed on fully computerised equipment which is also used to create the embroidery programmes, process known as punching.

The range of embroidery machines includes the very latest up-to-date units, equipped with active thread feeding devices, which allow the reducing of the minimum tensions during embroidery and enables embroidery on the most delicate fabrics.
Apart from Saurer 4040 HP Pentamat with automatic colours and rapport change, which we bought in 1998, we have SAURER ÚNICA, bought in 1999, which is far superior to all earlier models of embroidery machines. Recently, a new embroidery sample machine, smaller than the normal ones has been incorporated in our range of embroidery machines. This machine gives us the opportunity to personalise any design in our collection to our clients.
